In collaboration with the Hong Kong Institute of Horticultural Science (HKIHS), IEES kicked off 2024 with an engaging environmental talk titled “Blue Roof, Green Landscape, Stormwater Control, and Sustainable Water Management” on January 11, 2024. This event, part of the IEES Seminar Series, explored innovative approaches to water management and urban sustainability.

Exploring Sustainable Water Solutions

The talk delved into the critical role of blue roofs, green landscapes, and stormwater control in promoting sustainable water management. Attendees gained insights into how these strategies can mitigate urban flooding, enhance biodiversity, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of our environment. The session highlighted practical applications and innovative techniques that can be adapted to Hong Kong’s unique urban landscape, fostering a deeper understanding of integrated water management systems.
